Abstract
The article analyzes the use of unlicensed software in preparing students of computer specialties. The concept of responsibility for the use of unlicensed software as a violation of copyright and causes of liability has been investigated. Attention is also drawn to the use of licensed software from Microsoft, namely Office 365 for universities.
