Abstract

The article actualizes the need to ensure the quality of vocational education, taking into account the current requirements o f the labour market. The legal and regulatory framework regulating the development of professional and educational standards on the basis of a competentapproach is described. The content o f following concepts is analysed:»competency approach», «qualification», «professional standard», «state standard of vocational education», etc. Basic vectors of competence-based vocational education standardization in the area o f their coordination with professional standards and the national system o f qualifications are substantiated. The article reveals the importance of methodological approaches to VET standardization offered by the researchers o f the Institute of vocational education and training o f the National Academy of Educational Sciences o f Ukraine.
