Abstract
The article deals with the possibilities of applying psychological and hermeneutic approach to the problems of myth and myth-generation. Methodological determinants of study of the mechanisms of myth-building are defined. Psychological features of narrative creation as a major mechanism of myth-building in the culture are described.
