Abstract

The article is devoted to some questions of formation of readiness of teenagers of vulnerable categories to survival in extreme situations of our time. The authors study domestic and foreign psycho-pedagogical literature and determine the phenomenon of readiness, in particular, the formation of readiness for action in extreme situations. In addition, they consider the socio-psychological characteristics of adolescents of vulnerable categories and they consider the concept itself “vulnerable teenagers”. The authors’ conclusions are based on the analysis of domestic and foreign systems of self-defense, as a result of their researches they come to the conclusion that martial arts can become the basis for the formation of readiness of citizens of different categories, in particular, of vulnerable teenagers. However, in their opinion, this is possible only if martial arts meet certain criteria. The authors consider that the most important criteria are Ukrainian national martial traditions, the absence of artificial restrictions and unnecessary rituals and compliance with the requirements of modern threats which characteristic of our society. The focus of researchers on modern national systems for the formation of individual readiness for action in extreme situations – horting and police horting,and the basic principles of forming the readiness of adolescents of vulnerable categories for action in the extreme situations of our time.
