Abstract

The author of the article considers perceiving of space by children in the context of formation of spatial decentration. The author believes that contemporary information space is significantly affecting the formation process of perceiving space in children. There were vested results of the practical research with the methodic of A. Neklyueva and it was the first time when comparison of results of modern children and their peers of 20th century was given. It was found out that for children, who are too addicted to games in the virtual space, it is more difficult to find the correlation between characteristics or attributes of objects with distinctive characteristics from point of view of the observer, understanding possibility of different perspectives and points of view, focus on the position of other people different from their own i.e. that their development of decentration delays.
