Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of perception by the modern Finnish psychologist Kari Murto of the key educational ideas of the Ukrainian Soviet educater A. Makarenko (1888 - 1939), set forth in the book “Towards the well functioning community, in the hospital and in prison” (1991). The comparative-comparative approach of the researcher is analyzed (he outlined the interpretation of A.Makarenko's approaches to the education of juvenile offenders in comparison with the experience of psychological rehabilitation of servicemen of the English psychiatrist Maxwell Jones), his positive evaluation of the studied educational phenomena is highlighted. The scientific expediency of the comparative-interpretational method as an instrument of productive pedagogical dialogue and active reception of ideas is substantiated.
