Abstract

The manual offers ways to optimize the process of patriotism education in senior pupils, students and the development of their media literacy through media education. The author of the manual proposes the idea of ​​resourcefulness of personality patriotism in the conditions of information warfare and enrichment with such new instrumental qualities as conscious attitude to information, the ability to reflect emotions, feelings about the perceived, the ability to critically understand information and make independent conclusions, creatively rethink messages, etc. The teachers' attention is given to the teaching materials, methodological and practical recommendations for the inclining of youth feelings of patriotism and the development of its media literacy. In addition to theoretical developments, a program and methodology of raising patriotism by means of the media "I am a patriot" is presented, as well as a description of the technologies of development of the new qualities of the patriot, inherent in the digital age, and especially relevant in the context of information warfare. Addressed to teachers, media educators, psychologists, teachers, parents, social educators and social workers, for all who are interested in the theme of contemporary Ukrainian patriotism.
