Abstract

Objective of position changes in the General art education, due to discussins and challenges of social and cultural processes of formation of integral personality of the graduate school. Highlighted the richness of the spiritual sphere of the person, his values as a reference implementation of the content of art education. Shows requirements to preparedness of art teachers to implement such changes based on the competence approach in education of art and aesthetic education of pupils of secondary school, which is the litmus test of professional competence of the teacher. Analyzes a portrait of the modern teacher by the example of the achievements and challenges of pedagogical practice that is symptomatic of the all-Ukrainian competition "teacher of the year" in the nomination "Musical art". Stamped accents and the recommendations proposed in the vectors of professional development of teachers of disciplines of artistic and aesthetic cycle.
