Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of patriotic education in children of 5–11 years old. Specific characteristic of Ukrainian patriotism should be its efficiency. This particular characteristic gives the opportunity to transform feelings into certain actions and doings in the name of the Motherland and home country. Conscious patriotism should be inseparable with responsibility. The process of national resurgence in Ukraine requires either belief and love of its citizens to own nation, or understanding of personal responsibility before the society and nation [4, с. 8]. Based on the official letters and factors proving the significance of Ukrainian national kind of sport Horting for comprehensive education, as well as for saving and improvement of health of the children, the teacher of physical training together with the Director, school physician and school nurse made a decision to open a circle of the patriotic and physical training „Recreational Horting“ in the educational establishment No.24 (Uman city, Cherkassy region). The training program for the circle was developed by Zoya Dihtiarenko. According to the developed program of the circle „Recreational Horting“ for patriotic and physical education the author attempts to resolve the main objectives: to transfer the social historic experience to the pre-schoolers and infant school pupils; to introduce the culture of movements, developed by humanity; upbringing of patriotic feelings that are improved with the centuries and millennia (such as love to Motherland, feeling of honour for own nation, responsibility for the past and present, readiness to protect etc.); to explain the speciphics of Horting exercises, which have been applied by many previous generations of Ukrainians.
