Abstract

In our time, due to the rapid growth of computer technology, it is impossible to imagine a mechanical engineer who does not have the skills of computer design. The idea of ​​computer design is to create, with the help of various software products, a spatial geometric model of the required product, which can be used for further solution of a whole spectrum of design and technological design tasks. Various software tools designed to automate the design process of a product are combined into automated design systems (CAD). To date, there is a huge number of software and methodical complexes for CAD with a different degree of specialization and applied orientation. As a result, automation of designing in accordance with modern requirements has become a necessary part of the training of mechanical engineers; An engineer who does not have the knowledge and does not know how to work in CAD, can not be considered a full-fledged specialist.
