Abstract

The curriculum forfor musical art for 5-8 classes of general education institutions for children with mental retardation is developed in accordance with the State standard of basic and complete secondary education and is based on the provisions of the Concept of the State Standard for Special Education for Children with Disabilities. The program takes into account national musical-pedagogical traditions and contemporary trends in the development of musical culture in Ukraine and abroad. It provides for the formation of key competencies among pupils, the basis of which is the mastering of subject competences - the normatively entrenched learning outcomes that cover knowledge, skills, skills, methods of activity, manifestations of emotional and value attitudes.
