Abstract

The article highlights the importance of the formation and development of career orientation in the training of future designers. It’s affirmed that regardless of the economic situation in the country the professional development of graduates, young professionals’ well-being depends primarily on the organic combination of processes of professional competence relevant career orientations. It is noted that the important factor in the professional development of college students and students of specialized schools is defined by the objectives of training students for professional careers. Attention is drawn to the importance of the integrative approach to professional development and career professional competence of the future specialist. However, the author notes that the formation of career orientation should not happen spontaneously. This is an important and very complex psychological and pedagogical process which the future art school graduate largely depends on. It is noted that the work on formation of career orientations of future designers must take place in conditions of career consulting in collaboration with employers.
