Abstract
The textual (narrative-mentative) and contextual (cultural-individual, valuable-semantic, standard-regulatory) criteria of analysis of the social-psychological life-designing practices are defined. The conditionality of the background practices first of all by cultural contexts and the reformative practices – by individual contexts is revealed. It is shown that the reformative practices are used by the personality first of all in the mentative form whereas the background practices – in the narrative form. In the article provides us with a comparative analysis of everyday situations that are the subjects of creation of usual narratives and crisis or extraordinary situations, that stimulate the emergence of mentatives with the deeper reflection, rethinking and re-evaluation. It is defined that the narrative person tends to understand his own life through framing it into stories while mentative person designs his life on the basis of his thoughts and estimations about life. The mutually reformative dynamics of textual and contextual criteria in the personal process of autobiography making is established.
