Abstract
In the conditions of Informatization of society the electronic way of getting information for the youth is becoming the norm and necessary part of life, and information and communication technology (ICT) are working tools. That is why electronic learning (e-learning) can become the basic technology of the modern system of higher education. The implementation and operation of e-learning in higher education is possible in the presence of interaction of subjects of training in a virtual learning environment with the help of special means of communication. The specificity of the environment of interaction and peculiarities of organization of educational material in the absence of direct contact of subjects of studies define pedagogical features of e-learning. The article identifies the positive and negative features of e-learning; types of interaction of subjects of training; e-learning tools; e-learning forms; types of training and control of knowledge in e-learning.
