Abstract

The main goal of the study of the subject "Foreign literature" in the secondary school introduces students to the achievements of world literature and culture, development of creative personality (the reader), the formation of her humanistic Outlook, high morality, aesthetic tastes, and also the qualities of a citizen of Ukraine, which is aware of its belonging to the global community. However, it should be noted that students with profound visual impairment of initiation to reading and studying literary works associated with the difficulties of visual perception and specifics cognitive development. Also, heavy is the situation with the provision of textbooks and relevant teaching materials large print and especially the printed Braille for blind children. Therefore, a feature of the study of world literature in a school for children with visual impairments and blind children is searching and active use of alternative means of submission literary works that are studied primarily using audio works.
