Abstract
The article presents the chronological analysis of the religious factors in the transformation of female educational models in the Ukrainian and Polish borderlands: pagan traditions in the Orthodox educational model of the 11-13th century, the reception of the Orthodox female model in the Lithuanian practices of the 14–15th century, tolerance and rivalry in the Christian ideals of the 16th–17th century, the predominance of the Catholic female model in the 18th century and up to the 1930s., securing the Russian-Orthodox dominant in the educational model of the 19th and in the early 20th century.
