Abstract

The program of correctional work for 5-9 grades of secondary special schools for children with mental retardation "Correction of development" is developed on the basis of state standard of General secondary education for children with special educational needs. The program content of correctionaldeveloping includes tasks aimed at the formation of visual-figurative thinking, logical thinking, voluntary attention, reproductive imagination, of self-regulation. The focus correction is implemented through the selection of educational material. Correction and developing work in the program focuses on: correction of abnormalities and disorders of mental development; the problems of perception, attention, thinking, memory, imagination, etc.; the development of speech and vocabulary; the development of skills closely training requirements and new information, the ability to control their actions and deeds, to test its efficiency; formation of learning motivation, goal setting, planning skills, to determine the order of execution, check the result, adequate self-assessment of the work done, etc.; optimization, promotion and development of the cognitive process in a systematic purposeful activity. The development sessions are held with children with developmental delays in groups and individually. Private lessons are conducted with children who need more performance, exercise different degrees of care. The program is aimed for special secondary schools, special educational facilities and educational and rehabilitation centers for children with developmental delays, as well as for teachers working with children with special educational needs in the process of implementation of inclusive practices.
