Abstract
Were analyzed displayed in the content of the Ukrainian peasant educational ideal of XIX – early XX century basic value orientations (God, land, family, community), the Christian virtue (diligence, honesty, kindness, unselfishness), psychological peculiarities (introversion, dreaminess, romantic, obedience, trustfulness), and the quality of public (apolitical attitude, honoring society and distrust of government , absolutisation of physical labor, and lack of respect for intellectual, conservatism, traditionalism, the low level of demand).
