Abstract

in the article the modern approaches to the development of professional education and training are envisage: making allowance fo r modern challenges. It is emphasized on the necessity of taking into account the provisions of strategic documents adopted by the European Commission in the field of vocational education and training for the period of 2011-2020. The need for а пеw Law of Ukraine «On professional education» is grounded. It will determine the strategy of development of a modern vocational education and training system in accordance with the objectives of society social and economic development. Methodical approaches to integrating professions, development of national competency-based VET standards, creation and use of educational and person-development, design, coaching, interactive, information and communications, distance learning, open (modular) etc. training technologies. The managing features of vocational education development in terms of decentralization, the role of marketing services in providing professional training for future skilled workers and young professionals in accordance with regional labor markets needs are represented. The problem on professional guidance for students in trades, creating centers of professional life in VET schools for the purpose of career coaching, monitoring the competitiveness of graduates is mapped.
