Abstract

The main purpose of this manual is to provide readers with scientific understanding of the basic concepts of modern psychology, pedagogy of labor, to generate substantial purposes and benchmarks necessary to organize psychological support of labor activity and professional preparation of a Ukrainian worker to create material and spiritual values. The manual is based on the principles of a personal approach, which provides an understanding of a worker as a person who has great spiritual, creative, productive and innovative potential. This approach is based on the use of the concept of psychological structure of a professional’s identity as the basis of all necessary measures on job specification, career counseling, selection and recruitment, personnel work, vocational training and education, development of professional skills, improvement of the efficiency of an employee professional activity. The manual presents the individual characteristics of ability to work as a generic property of a person and its development in a child through play, learning and labor training at the level of giftedness, and in an adult - through the implementation at the level of professional skills and an employee talent. For pedagogical staff of secondary schools, industrial training masters in vocational education institutions, students, teachers, practical psychologists, heads of higher educational institutions, students of the Institute of Postgraduate Education. It may be useful for state and local authorities stuff, representatives of trade unions, enterprises of state and private forms of ownership, employees and employers.
