Abstract

Based on the analysis of a large number of home and foreign sources the author traces the process of development of two-year colleges in the USA in terms of social, economic, and social problems. A special role of US higher school in civic education of the nation, raising the educational level of the country. The advantages of studying at two-year colleges in terms of quality of training, flexibility, mobility, efficiency and accessibility of vocational training of young people are shown.
