Abstract

Thesis for obtaining the Doctor’s Degree of Psychological Sciences in Speciality 19.00.01 – general psychology, history of psychology. – G. S. Kostiyk Institute of Psychology at the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2011. The dissertation research is dedicated to the current problem of definition of theoretical and methodological foundations of development of applied psychology in Ukraine. It is made on a standpoint of system-structural and historical approaches and on the basis of theoretical projection organizational and functional models of activity of psychological services. The dissertation reveals theoretical analysis of contemporary approaches to study the phenomenon of psychological practice, the distinction of applied psychology, academic psychology, extra-academic psychology and everyday psychology, it highlights the role and place of applied psychology in a system of psychological knowledge. It defines and describes the specifics of activity of psychological services as centers of psychological practice. Practical application of theoretical principles of development of applied psychology is reflected in the development and empirical implementation of organizational and functional models, principles and methods of psychological services.
