Abstract
This article analyzes the historical context of the psychological characteristics of love in the works of a number of national and foreign philosophers, psychologists and teachers, especially such as H.I.Chelpanov, Ya.Korchak, V.O.Suhomlynsky, I.A.Zyazyun, S.D.Maksymenko and others. The importance of love is presented as the foundation of the spiritual potential of professional psychologists and educators and as a constructive resource of appearing and improvement of educational, employing, creative activity and life activity of human and personality as a whole.
